Pharmacies

Pharmacies are found all over the Maltese Islands. These pharmacies would often have a doctor present during specific times of day. You will find at least one pharmacy in every locality, although in some localities you may find even more. Opening hours tend to vary, but the majority of pharmacies open at around 8:00 to 8:30 am. Some also close at around 13:00 pm and reopen at around 16:00pm. You may find some pharmacies that do not close in the afternoon and stay open till their final closing time.

Not all pharmacies tend to open during the weekends. You may find some that will open on a Saturday and not on a Sunday, while others open on a Saturday and open for a half day on a Sunday. Some open only on weekdays. On public holidays opening hours vary from one pharmacy to another.
