Parasailing

Parasailing also known as parascending or parakiting involves a person being towed behind a boat while attached to a specially designed canopy wing that resembles a parachute. The vehicle drives off and carrying the parascender and person into the air.  If the boat is powerful enough, 2 or 3 people can parasail behind it at the same time.  The sport of parasailing, developed in the early 1980s and has become very popular throughout the years.  International competitions have been held in the mid-1980s and continue annually to this day.  It is a sport that very much depends on the wind. This extreme sport is definitely not for the faint of heart!  It is a fun activity that you can do with friends and family.  A parasail ride would normally last between 8 – 10 minutes, however the whole process can even last 45 minutes.
