The Blue Lagoon
This beach is quite popular with tourists and with the Maltese themselves.. Located in Comino, this beach is known for its crystal clear and azure-coloured water. The Blue Lagoon has one of the most spectacular views in Malta. You can get to this Island by ferry or you can also book a boat day trip. Paradise Bay
Located in the north side of Malta, Paradise Bay is one of the most popular beaches found in Malta due to its natural environment and clean waters. The beach itself is quite small and it also has a relaxed feel to it. No need to worry about bringing food and drink! A lido is situated just above the beach serving delicious food and refreshing drinks. They also offer sunbed rentals and a small shop just 5 steps away from the beach for all your beach needs.
Gnejna Bay
Gnejna bay offers amazing sights such as its unusual clay slopes and limestone cliffs. Situated in the limits of Mgarr, this beach is one of the three sandy beaches in that area, together with Golden Bay and Ghajn Tuffieha. If you don’t like crowded beaches and would like a quieter place where you can relax and enjoy your day at the beach, then this beach is for you. The crystal clear and unspoiled waters offer good opportunities for snorkeling. If you don’t like the sand there is also a stretch of flat limestone rock on the right hand side of the sandy beach, where you can relax and soak up the sun.
Mellieha Bay
Also known as Ghadira Bay, this beach is the most popular with the locals during the summer. This sandy beach is accompanied by the crystal clear waters often seen in shades of green due to the sandy seabed, which adds on to its scenic beauty. In the summer months it gets crowded with the locals who love this beach and the tourists that come to visit. This beach offers a wide range of food stalls going all the way along the beach. St.Peter’s Pool
This beach is located close to Marsaxlokk at the tip of Delimara Point, and is one of the most beautiful natural pools found in the Maltese Islands. The crystal clear waters offer very good snorkeling opportunities. St.Peter’s Pool is popular with the locals that live in nearby villages and also with tourists who are looking for a quiet place where they can swim and relax. Ladders are available to access the sea and if you are more adventurous there is the option to dive into the water from just a few meters up. Overall this natural pool has beautiful scenery and it is worth the visit.
